Note: You are not covered until you enroll, and you have 31 days to do so. If you do not enroll within 31 days, coverage is not available until the next Open Enrollment period unless you have a qualifying life event.
You may enroll the following eligible dependents in most benefits:
*A spouse is defined as an individual to whom you are legally married. To add a domestic partner to your coverage, you will need to complete an enrollment form as well as the required affidavit. If your domestic partner is currently covered, you don't need to submit a new affidavit.
**Children are defined as natural children, legally adopted children, stepchildren, children placed with you for foster care or adoption, children for whom you are the court-appointed legal guardian and children for whom health coverage is required through a Qualified Medical Child Support Order or other court administrative order.
Enrolling in your benefits is easy – and getting assistance is a snap, too. Be sure to enroll online within 31 days of your date of hire!

As a new hire, you may elect coverage within 31 days of your date of hire. You may not change or cancel your benefit elections during the year unless you experience a qualifying life event. Otherwise, your next opportunity to change your benefits will be the Open Enrollment period.

If you need to make benefit changes as a result of a life event, visit Workday. Changes must be made within 31 days of the life event.
When changing your benefits due to a life event, the changes you make must be consistent with that event. For example, you cannot drop medical coverage because you had a child, but you are able to add your new child to your coverage.
